Recipe:

- 60ml El Tesoro Reposado Tequila (or other reposado tequila)

- 22.5ml Antica Formula (or other sweet vermouth)

- 15ml Cynar

Stir everything on ice until sufficiently chilled, strain into your prechilled cocktail glass of choice, optional garnish with a brandied cherry.

An almost ridiculously good three-ingredient cocktail, in fact, as far as this popular "category" is concerned, it went straight into my top 10.

Cooked agave, dried apricot and plum, light raisins, bell pepper and artichoke, fine charred oak and a pinch of black pepper, yet an elegant, light body. Long finish with raisins, dried fruit, agave, capers and some olive. Despite the intense flavors, you could certainly stand several of these, thanks to the perfectly balanced ratio. By the way, also works with other tequila brands (reposado would be good, though), but if brands are mentioned in the original recipe, I quote them here as well.
