A drink I found only on Diffordsguide and otherwise only 2-3 times with reference back to DG again, an own creation? Definitely at least a solid cocktail, as I thought the GrapeDiggaz Red Vermouth fits well here, with a nice, rather fresh wine note and good acidity, otherwise it probably quickly becomes too sweet with too powerful, robust examples of the "sweet vermouth" category. Also my beloved Distilleria Quaglia instead of the classic Cherry Heering works certainly well as a cherry liqueur, as well as a nice fresh citrus-heavy gin like Beefeater or Tanqueray 10. So it becomes a balanced mix with a fresh citrusy juniper start, a fine vinous red note in the middle, with dried cherries and cherry pits, as well as fine herbs out the back. Stirring it a bit longer too, a good 30 seconds on high quality ice, also works wonders in terms of balance.
