DEUTSCH | ENGLISH

Nice little aperitif drink, savory, slightly astringent, tart and slightly sour from the Sloe Gin, slightly sweet countered by the Old Tom. Otherwise, you can find dried berries, juniper, a little candied orange zest, it's really nicely balanced. Nothing earth-shattering, of course, but it's definitely worth trying out and playing around with the brands.

Sounds like another “forgotten drink from old times”, but apart from the entry in Benny Roff's (modern) book, I can't find anything else online. Of course, Mr. Roff may have taken it from an old recipe book somewhere, but unfortunately he doesn't mark the sources of the drinks in “Speakeasy”.
