A drink that really impressed me. I've become quite fond of Rum and Mezcal Negronis. But I'm all the more impressed when I like a Negroni variant that isn't clearly based on these two spirits (sure, there's Rum here, but only discreetly in a supporting role). The name is just a bit unfortunate, I immediately think of honey-heavy Old Fashioneds reading it, yet the ECC book itself says it's a well-balanced, floral, elegant Negroni and I couldn't agree more.

Super smooth, silky and I never expected to like a drink with 30ml Campari, without a really strong counterpart, so much. Grapes, bitter orange, light herbal honey and flowers, honeydew melon, some freshness from mint and sugar cane through Branca and rum, a dream. I used the Martini Ambrato as a substitute for the vermouth mentioned in the original and it worked fantastically.
